When to transact
Over the last 21 hours, fees were lowest around 05:00 UTC (about 0.087 gwei) and highest around 17:00 UTC (21.1 gwei).
Ethereum fees follow demand. They are usually lowest at weekends and in the early hours UTC, and spike during popular mints and sharp market moves. For a transfer that is not urgent, a max fee a little above the base fee and a small tip is enough.

Questions
How is the Ethereum gas price worked out?
Wardcrest reads the last 20 blocks of fee history: standard is the next block’s base fee plus the median tip paid recently; slow uses a smaller tip; fast allows for the base fee rising by its 12.5% maximum.
How often does this update?
Every minute. The page refreshes itself every 30 seconds while you have it open.
Why might my wallet quote a different fee?
Wallets add their own safety margins and use their own gas estimates for each contract. The actions here use typical gas amounts; a complex swap route or a busy NFT mint can use more.
